First contact

Ask a CV and as many as possible questions in order to make clear for you:

  • Who is this person?
  • Where the researcher is based?
  • Where he/she would like to go?
  • What is his/her specialty?
  • What is his/her career stage?
  • What exactly he/she wants, is/ his/ her motivation?
  • What is his/her experience in working with industry if any?

Do not forget to make notes on his/her answers!

  • Can you personally help and with what exactly?
  • If not – who else you need to involve from / outside the company?

Plan and timing

Discuss and agree with the refugee researcher on every step or next session.

Answer within two days to each refugee researcher email, check the response or the stage at which is the help and support from other people involved in the process, communicate with the refugee researcher about his/her problems, etc.
