Two new resources developed under the ERA TALENT third-party funded projects are now available to support early-career researchers in exploring impactful career paths outside academia. Both initiatives are part of the EURAXESS Researcher Careers Beyond Academia (REBECA) Hub, which helps researchers transition into non-academic roles and promotes mobility of talent across sectors.

MR2YR – Mentoring Routes: Unleashing Innovative Careers for Young Researchers

Developed by the Edmund Mach Foundation, MR2YR presents a collection of short video interviews with experts in innovation. Recorded during a workshop on 12 March 2025, the series highlights key themes such as entrepreneurship, public–private collaboration, and intellectual property strategies.

The videos feature:

Led by AGAUR, the TRACK project provides a video series showcasing the career journeys of professionals who moved into Research Management (RM) and Knowledge Transfer (KT). Their experiences offer practical insights and inspiration for researchers considering diverse professional opportunities.

The videos include:

Supporting Career Development

Both projects contribute to filling critical information gaps and highlight the wide range of opportunities available to researchers beyond the academic environment.

Institutions and research organisations are encouraged to share these resources with their researchers, especially those exploring career options outside academia. A ready-to-use dissemination package has been prepared to facilitate wider outreach.
