In May 2025, staff and researchers from the Scientific Entrepreneurship Hub in Bulgaria (SciEntBG Hub) participated in two key EURAXESS ERA Talent webinars, deepening their understanding of the latest trends and approaches in scientific entrepreneurship and researcher career development across Europe.
On May 8, SciEntBG Hub members participated in the EURAXESS Startup Hub Leadership Academy webinar, where they gained valuable insights into recent research findings, new methodologies, and best practices in scientific entrepreneurship, innovation management, and integrating research with startup activities. The session provided insights into effective models for supporting researchers interested in entrepreneurship and featured inspiring stories from leading experts and founders across Europe and the Western Balkans. Attendees also had the chance to learn about international support programs, digital tools, and opportunities to build sustainable academic-business collaborations.
On 28 May, SciEntBG Hub representatives participated in the Beyond Academia Hub meeting, which brought together experts from the EURAXESS network to discuss researcher career transitions beyond academia. During the session, participants received practical recommendations on designing and implementing effective mentoring strategies, focusing on the ReBeCA mentoring model. The meeting addressed key challenges related to mentor recruitment, cross-sectoral mobility, and integrating refugee researchers into research and innovation ecosystems. The acquired knowledge and shared experiences will further strengthen the support services offered by SciEntBG Hub for Bulgarian researchers seeking new career paths and entrepreneurial opportunities.
