The position is related to the project "Complexes of electron-deficient transition metals with luminescent properties". The goal of the project is to investigate new potentially luminescent materials based on electron-deficient transition metal complexes and to reveal the relationship between structural features of the compounds and their resultant photophysical properties. The successful candidate will develop methods of preparation of new organometallic substances using air- and moisture-free techniques and will participate also in the following investigations of their properties.

Offer Requirements

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL
    Chemistry: PhD or equivalent
  • REQUIRED LANGUAGES
    ENGLISH: Good

Skills/Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in chemistry (inorganic, organic, physical or related)
  • Experience with organic or organometallic synthesis using Schlenk techniques and knowledge of basic spectroscopic methods (NMR, IR, etc.) would be advantageous
  • Advanced level of written and spoken English
  • Capability of independent research work
