The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) at the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI) in Manno, Institute for Mechanical Engineering and Materials Technology (MEMTi), has openend a full time (100%) position for a Postdoc Researcher in the area of the Computational Modeling of Dynamic Supramolecular Materials with a fixed term contract and earliest possible start date.

    ENGLISH: Good

Skills/Qualifications

  • Multiscale molecular modeling and simulation of self-assembling systems and supramolecular structures
  • Use of advanced computational approaches to characterize structure, dynamics and properties of self-assembled materials and complex molecular systems
  • Contribution to research projects and scientific publications

Specific Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Materials/Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemisty, Physics, or equivalent doctoral degree (obtained or close to be obtained)
  • Relevant publications in the field
  • Experience in the use of most common molecular modeling/simulation software (gromacs, amber, etc.)
  • Desirable experience in one or more of the following fields: (i) advanced sampling methods, (ii) coarse-graining, (iii) machine learning approaches applied to molecular models. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in most of these fields
  • Desirable good programming skills
